Xert API Integration

With Terra's Xert web API integration, your app receives the workouts users complete against their Xert training targets. Terra normalizes each session, covering power, duration, distance and heart rate, and POSTs it to your webhook.

Two ways to receive Xert data

When data is available from a Xert device, Terra sends it straight to your webhook. During your Terra account setup you'll be prompted for a callback URL, and that is where Terra POSTs each payload.

Xert does not notify Terra when data changes, so Terra polls it every 5–10 minutes for each connected user and POSTs the normalized payload to your webhook.

Terra API preserves the raw data from the wearable, it just standardizes the units and the json format. It doesn’t augment or change the raw data in any way.

Data is organized into one of 6 data types.

People Often Ask Us...

How do I access Xert workout data through an API?

Your user connects their Xert account through the Terra widget, and Terra reads the workouts they complete against their Xert training targets, normalizing each session into a standard Activity payload delivered to your webhook.

How quickly does Xert data reach my app?

Terra polls Xert every 5–10 minutes for each connected user, so new data reaches your webhook within that window of a device sync.

What data is available from Xert through Terra?

Through Terra's Xert integration, you can access activity data.

What metrics does an Xert session carry?

Power, duration, distance and heart rate — the inputs Xert's adaptive training model runs on, normalized so they parse alongside data from any other provider you support.

Do I need Xert API credentials?

No provider credentials are required. Users authenticate with their own Xert login through the Terra widget.

Can't Find Your Question?

What devices are supported?

Terra API integrates with any Xert device currently supported by Xert.
