Catapult One API Integration

With Terra's Catapult One API integration, your app can access athlete performance monitoring data from Catapult's GPS tracking system. The integration delivers activity metrics including player load, distance covered, sprint data, top speed, and GPS-based movement data for training sessions and matches.

Two ways to receive Catapult One data

When data is available from a Catapult One device, Terra sends it straight to your webhook. During your Terra account setup you'll be prompted for a callback URL, and that is where Terra POSTs each payload.

Catapult One does not notify Terra when data changes, so Terra polls it every 5–10 minutes for each connected user and POSTs the normalized payload to your webhook.

Terra API preserves the raw data from the wearable, it just standardizes the units and the json format. It doesn’t augment or change the raw data in any way.

Data is organized into one of 6 data types.

People Often Ask Us...

How do I access Catapult One data through an API?

Your user connects their Catapult One account through the Terra widget, and Terra reads the sessions their One Pod records in training and matches, normalizing each into a standard Activity payload for your webhook.

How quickly does Catapult One data reach my app?

Terra polls Catapult One every 5–10 minutes for each connected user, so new data reaches your webhook within that window of a device sync.

What data is available from Catapult One through Terra?

Through Terra's Catapult One integration, you can access activity data.

What team-sport metrics does Catapult One return?

Player load, distance covered, sprint data, top speed and GPS-based movement — the tracking metrics team sports are analysed on, rather than the endurance metrics most consumer wearables report.

Do I need Catapult One API credentials?

No provider credentials are required. Players authenticate with their own Catapult One login through the Terra widget.

Can't Find Your Question?

What devices are supported?

Terra API integrates with any Catapult One device currently supported by Catapult One.
