Nutrisense offers a real-time metabolic monitoring through CGM. They specialize in a CGM-based programs paired with an intuitive mobile app that visualizes glucose trends, meal scores, activity logging, and offers one-on-one coaching from registered dietitians.
What was missing
Nutrisense’s user adoption relied on two core needs. First, they had to make it possible for members to connect with any continuous glucose monitor. Second, they needed to demonstrate how sleep, activity, and exercise could stabilize blood sugar levels. Meeting these goals was difficult, as each CGM and its companion wearables came with a closed ecosystem, unique SDKs, and proprietary APIs that made integration a constant challenge.
Solution
Nutrisense turned to Terra to unify access across CGMs and wearables without managing each SDK individually. By leveraging Terra's single API, Nutrisense can pull glucose data from multiple CGM platforms and cross-reference it with activity, sleep, and nutrition data from Apple Health, Google Fit, and more. This allowed them to focus on building a powerful recommendation engine rather than wrestling with integration overhead.
