February updates - Terra API
We're preparing lots of cool things under the hood for Terra V3, while still staying dynamic on the current version 😎 💣 💥
TL;DR: We've updated the Graph API for mobile-friendly views and added AGP charts, improved error messages for developers, integrated with Tenovi for advanced patient monitoring, and are developing Terra V3 with enhanced speed, robustness, flexibility, security, and error handling.
Empower users with FDA-approved devices from Tenovi! 🩺🚑
What?
We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Tenovi, a leading provider of remote patient monitoring solutions, featuring cellular gateways, FDA-cleared devices, and a clinician software portal, leading to the release of Tenovi as an integration which is possible through Terra
Why?
Responding to the increasing demand for FDA-approved devices, our collaboration with Tenovi aims to connect our users with top-tier health monitoring technologies. As part of our core value propostion, we need to offer integrations for users to connect any device out there.
How?
After meeting at the ViVE event in Los Angeles (shoutout to Frank!), we've formalized our partnership with Tenovi as a data supplier, integrating their solutions into the Terra API. Their systems tailor more to companies needing to supply devices to users themselves, which diverges from our usual user-centric approach. We needed to make the necessary adjustments to our system to account for that, and integrate their devices in seamlessly
Graph API takes on more users! 💪📈
What?
We've upgraded the Graph API to ensure better mobile display and introduced Ambulatory Glucose Profiles (AGPs) as a new chart type. Glucose monitoring companies will be excited to hear those words! 🥳 Additionally, we've improved error messaging for a smoother development experience. In parallel, evelopers will be excited about that 😉
Why?
As the Graph API gains popularity, enhancing its usability and development ease becomes essential to support our growing user base. We need to keep both developers and end users happy with awesome visualizations, that are pain-free to implement.
How?
Acting on user feedback, particularly from customers in the glucose monitoring sector, we've focused on providing as much value through charts as possible, as well as making our graphs more informative and easier to debug for developers using them. Next steps: redesigning the flow on our Dashboard.
Terra V3! (pre-alpha)
What?
Terra V3 is on the horizon, promising unparalleled performance with features like lightning-speed payloads, robust architecture, reliable monitoring, flexible operations, secure data handling, and advanced error management.
Why?
Our goal is to exponentially improve the ease of use and system robustness, ensuring Terra remains at the forefront of technological innovation. This comes, at the level we're at currently, from thinking 100 steps ahead, and being able to anticipate what is yet to come. This is exactly what Terra V3 aims to do API-wise.
How?
By adopting a microservice-based architecture and utilizing gRPC for efficient communication, Terra V3 is designed for elasticity and ease of integration, setting new standards in API technology. More details will be revealed as we progress on this, and start onboarding alpha/beta users onto the new platform.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to push the boundaries of what's possible, enhancing user experience and expanding our ecosystem with strategic partnerships
