Alternatives to the latest changes in the Strava API
Strava just introduced big changes to their API program. These changes will basically kill off a lot of apps.
In more detail, yesterday Strava sent an email to all users, outlining their immediate changes.
Some specifics:
- Apps cannot connect to the Strava API, and use any AI services
- Apps cannot show data to their users, only to yourself
- Apps cannot process or analyse data
This comes as a big surprise, since there are thousands of apps using Strava for that reason.
