September Updates

📝 Unlocking New Possibilities: Zepp Integration, Faster Webhooks, and Enhanced Graph API! 🚀

september.webp

TL;DR:

In our continuous quest to provide seamless health and fitness data integration, Terra is excited to announce several game-changing enhancements. These upgrades are designed to empower developers and users alike, making health data management more accessible and efficient than ever before. Let's dive into the details!

Zepp Integration: Expanding Our Reach

🔌 What?

Terra now seamlessly integrates with the Zepp app! This integration allows you to access a user's steps, heart rate, and distance tracked using any wearable that connects with the Zepp app (e.g. Amazfit), just as you would with any other integration we offer.

🤔 Why?

We've been diligently working to strengthen our partnerships with various wearable tech companies. In particular, our collaboration with Zepp, the company taking care of the mobile app experience of Amazfit devices & more, has paved the way for this exciting integration. Stay tuned for more updates on this promising partnership.

💻 How?

The demand for Zepp app integration has been persistent since Terra's inception. Wearables that sync with the Zepp app are known for their affordability, making them a popular choice, especially in emerging markets like India. By enabling connections to Zepp-connected devices, Terra can now reach millions of users in these regions, offering them the benefits of seamless health data tracking.

Blazing-fast Webhook processing times

📅 What?

Terra has achieved a significant breakthrough in processing webhook data from wearable providers. We've slashed the average processing time from several minutes to just a few seconds. This means that data sent into Terra is rapidly processed and delivered to our customers.

🤔 Why?

Our achievement is the result of strategic architectural changes that optimize our internal processes and resource utilization. These improvements ensure that we make the most efficient use of our existing resources, resulting in lightning-fast data processing.

💻 How?

Performance is at the core of Terra's mission. We are committed to providing unparalleled speed and usability to our customers. For users of health and fitness apps, prompt data delivery is essential. With this upgrade, workouts and health metrics appear in users' apps almost instantly after completion, enhancing their overall experience.

Revamped Graph API: Simplifying integration

🏋 ️‍What?

We've overhauled our Graph API to eliminate the need for token regeneration every time a graph is displayed. Developers can now effortlessly integrate graphs into their apps by simply using a URL, and these graphs will load automatically and indefinitely.

🤔 Why?

Our revamped logic ensures that graphs are tied to a specific session, which remains valid unless explicitly invalidated by the developer. This session, combined with the user's ID, enables the display of any user's data through the graph. Plus, we've implemented smart caching to ensure data auto-updates each time the graph is loaded.

💻 How?

Displaying health data is a fundamental part of any health and fitness app's user experience. We understand the importance of simplifying this process to reduce time to value for our customers. Offering top-tier visualizations is key to achieving this goal, allowing developers to create production-grade graphs and visuals that enhance the end-user experience.

With these enhancements, Terra continues to evolve as a robust, developer-friendly platform that empowers you to harness the full potential of health and fitness data. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we strive to make health and fitness tracking more accessible and user-friendly for everyone. 🚀
