October Updates

🤖 Terra's AI Evolution: OdinAI Workouts, Odin Peer-Reviewed Research, and FIT Files  🚀

image.png

TL;DR:

Terra introduces three powerful updates. First, OdinAI now crafts personalized workout plans, using user history to guide fitness journeys. Second, Odin incorporates peer-reviewed research, ensuring users receive accurate health guidance. Lastly, Terra supports FIT files, streamlining data integration for developers. These changes enhance the user experience, making Terra a more comprehensive and accessible API for health and fitness data.

OdinAI workout plans

🔌 What?

OdinAI now generates personalized workout plans, leveraging users' historical fitness data and goals. This empowers users to progress on their health and fitness journey effectively.

🤔 Why?

Odin's mission is to make daily health and fitness improvements effortless. With many users seeking structured guidance to reach their objectives, OdinAI fills the gap by crafting personalized workout plans based off their background and goals.

💻 How?

To realize Odin's vision as a user's ultimate health companion, it comprehends users' workout preferences and tailors them to previous training experiences. OdinAI recommends workouts, such as chest or squat exercises, tailored to individual fitness goals, and generates an easy to follow workout plan for users to take along to the gym.

OdinAI uses peer-reviewed research 🤓

📅 What?

OdinAI now incorporates peer-reviewed research in its recommendations, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of health and training guidance.

🤔 Why?

To further improve recommendation accuracy, OdinAI now supplements its insights with reliable peer-reviewed research. Developers can ensure users receive trustworthy advice, free from generic or erroneous information, filtered and curated by our internal Health & Fitness research team.

💻 How?

By enabling a feature flag, OdinAI utilizes our internal repository of peer-reviewed studies. When end users pose queries, OdinAI draws upon this repository to provide informed responses.

New Processing Type - FIT Files

🏋 ️‍What?

Developers can now receive workout information in FIT file format, streamlining data integration, and making it easy to ingest a format they may already be used to

🤔 Why?

FIT files offer a familiar format to many developers, simplifying the transition to Terra. Users accustomed to FIT files can directly ingest this data, eliminating the need to parse JSON payloads, further enhancing Terra's accessibility.

💻 How?

Terra taps into Garmin's FIT SDKs, converting all workout payloads into FIT format. This straightforward translation eases developers' workflow by supporting a common health and fitness standard.

These Terra updates, ranging from OdinAI's fitness plans to the incorporation of peer-reviewed research and support for FIT files, underscore the commitment to elevating health and fitness data accessibility and accuracy 🚀 stay tuned for next month's updates!
