About 8 months ago, Samsung NEXT reached out, after our batch at Y Combinator.
Samsung has a fund ? I remember wondering.
It turned out, that it was led by none other than David, one of the most well known investors in the world.
David started as an early employee in Google, and then led SV Angel, one of the most well known funds in SF. He was named in the Forbes Magazine's Midas list twice, and during his time at SV Angel, he invested in Doordash, Product Hunt, OpenDoor, Snapchat and others. He is now leading the venture arm of Samsung, who has (amongst so many other things) some of the most innovative wearables in the world.
We always have fantastic discussions with him - and the whole team of Samsung, so we decided to make this video podcast.
We discussed about his early days at Google, his philosophy of investments, Samsung NEXT, wearables, and building culture in startups.
