Samsung API Integration

Terra's Samsung API integration will allow your app to retrieve a range of datapoints from the Samsung ecosystem. Integrate with Galaxy smart watches through the Samsung Integration and retrieve data ranging from users' logged workout metrics such as heart rate & calories burned or even detailed sleep analyses provided by users' watches.

Two ways to receive Samsung data

When data is available from a Samsung user's device, Terra sends it straight to your webhook. During your Terra account setup you'll be prompted for a callback URL, and that is where Terra POSTs each payload.

Samsung data lives on the user's phone, so the Terra mobile SDK reads it there rather than calling a Samsung server. Terra normalizes each upload and POSTs it to your webhook.

Terra API preserves the raw data from the wearable, it just standardizes the units and the json format. It doesn’t augment or change the raw data in any way.

Data is organized into one of 6 data types.

People Often Ask Us...

How do I access Samsung Health data via API?

Terra provides an SDK-based integration with Samsung Health. Using the Terra Android SDK, your app connects directly with Samsung Health on users' Galaxy devices, and the synced data is then available via webhooks and the REST API.

How quickly does Samsung data reach my app?

Samsung data lives on the user's phone. The Terra mobile SDK reads it there and uploads whenever your app runs, in foreground or background, and Terra POSTs each normalized payload to your webhook. That covers workout completions, daily health summaries, and sleep data from the user's Galaxy device.

What data is available from Samsung through Terra?

Through Terra's Samsung integration, you can access activity, body, daily and sleep data. This includes workout metrics like heart rate and calories burned, body composition data, step counts, and detailed sleep analyses from Galaxy watches.

How much does the Samsung Health API integration cost?

Every Terra plan includes unlimited integrations, so there is no separate charge for Samsung Health. Pricing is credit-based, with 100,000 credits included each month and usage-based rates beyond that. Every plan carries a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can build against real Samsung Health data risk-free.
